La r\u00e9signation et la frustration se sont install\u00e9es. dizaine de kilom\u00e8tres en aval, et c\u2019est ainsi que les choses ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 bouger. Du jour au lendemain, le village n\u2019a plus eu comme premi\u00e8re pr\u00e9occupation de maintenir l\u2019infrastructure et de g\u00e9rer toutes les t\u00e2ches administratives. De la place et de l\u2019espace ont \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9s pour d\u2019autres id\u00e9es et \u00e9tapes de d\u00e9veloppement: la question principale \u00e9tait de savoir ce qu\u2019il fallait faire de l\u2019\u00e9cole d\u00e9saffect\u00e9e au centre de Gadmen.<\/p><p class=\"ffb-id-6ntg208n fg-paragraph text-left    fg-text-dark\">Il \u00e9tait clair d\u00e8s le d\u00e9part qu\u2019il s\u2019agissait d\u2019une affaire tr\u00e8s sensible. Des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations d\u2019enfants de Gadmen y ont appris leurs tables de multiplication et transpir\u00e9 sur des dict\u00e9es. Tout le monde est attach\u00e9 au b\u00e2timent scolaire. Un restaurant, des chambres d\u2019h\u00f4tel modernes et des dortoirs pour les groupes ont ainsi vu le jour. La salle polyvalente voisine peut \u00eatre lou\u00e9e pour un \u00e9v\u00e9nement ou une f\u00eate de grande ampleur. <\/p><p class=\"ffb-id-6p4m8bpa fg-paragraph text-left    fg-text-dark\">La r\u00e9gion a toujours attir\u00e9 les visiteurs d\u2019un jour gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son tourisme lent et durable, mais il a longtemps manqu\u00e9 un \u00e9tablissement pour y passer la nuit tout au long de l\u2019ann\u00e9e. En effet, le village de montagne accueille d\u00e9sormais davantage de visiteurs et les participants \u00e0 des \u00e9v\u00e9nements peuvent rester sur place pour la nuit. Les familles appr\u00e9cient la petite station de ski, et les pistes de ski de fond autour du Nordic Center sont populaires loin \u00e0 la ronde. En \u00e9t\u00e9, la r\u00e9gion est un paradis pour les randonneurs et un lieu de repos appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 de tous ceux qui empruntent le joyau des itin\u00e9raires alpins: la route du col du Susten.<\/p><p class=\"ffb-id-6ntsnqsr fg-paragraph text-left    fg-text-dark\">Longue de 45 kilom\u00e8tres, elle serpente \u00e0 travers des tunnels creus\u00e9s dans la roche et franchit de nombreux ponts, reliant l\u2019Oberland bernois au canton d\u2019Uri. Cette voie de communication n\u2019a jamais jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le majeur en tant qu\u2019axe commercial et de transit, mais elle reste aujourd\u2019hui l\u2019un des itin\u00e9raires touristiques les plus attrayants de Suisse. Ses lignes semblent se fondre dans le terrain, s\u2019y accrocher, voire mettre en sc\u00e8ne ici et l\u00e0 des perles du paysage, tout en respectant scrupuleusement un concept esth\u00e9tique. La route a \u00e9t\u00e9 ouverte en 1945 et a donn\u00e9 \u00e0 Gadmen un \u00e9lan \u00e9conomique suppl\u00e9mentaire. <\/p><p class=\"ffb-id-6ntsnqss fg-paragraph text-left    fg-text-dark\">Aujourd\u2019hui, les habitants sont fiers de leur village. Le Lodge est depuis longtemps devenu leur point de rencontre, de nouvelles offres touristiques ont vu le jour et le lieu revit. Comme la route du col est ferm\u00e9e en hiver, il r\u00e8gne ici, au fond de la vall\u00e9e, un silence merveilleux pendant les mois de neige. Les trois quarts sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme des surfaces improductives telles que les rochers, les glaciers ou les cours d'eau.<\/li>\n<li>Gadmen a un roi de la lutte: Melchior Abplanalp (1838-1924), surnomm\u00e9 \u00abGrini-Melk\u00bb, a connu ses plus grands succ\u00e8s en 1865 \u00e0 Thoune ainsi qu'en 1867 et 1869 \u00e0 Unspunnen \u00e0 Interlaken.<\/li>\n<li>La cabane Trift est la deuxi\u00e8me plus ancienne auberge du Club alpin suisse (CAS): elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 construite en 1864 - donc un an apr\u00e8s la fondation du CAS - avec six places.
